Who is Dinámica del Hábitat?
Dinámica del Hábitat It is a company based in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, operating since 1997. Since then, Dinámica del Hábitat has developed residential complexes featuring amenities for family coexistence and recreation. The company has a significant presence in the Bajío region of the Mexican Republic, established as a housing development group in the states of San Luis Potosí, Querétaro, Guanajuato, and Michoacán, not only as a construction company but as a business group specialized in all aspects of the housing industry.
Project Description
The company Dinámica del Hábitat gave me the opportunity to carry out the complete renovation project of its corporate website, aimed at making improvements and resolving issues the website presented:
Website – Before:
The website presented the following problems:
- The website's structure was incorrect because the HTML was not semantic.
- It was built with a very old version of Dreamweaver.
- It was not 100% responsive with all mobile devices.
- It had many outdated JavaScript libraries (jQuery, jQuery UI Slider, among others).
- It was built using PHP files with spaghetti code.
- It did not use AJAX to reload sections of the website.
- It did not have a blog or any way to publish articles.
- It lacked SEO (Search Engine Optimization) on all its pages.
- It did not have Open Graph tags to display content when shared.
- Contact emails were not reaching the configured email address.

Before showing you the result of the website renovation, the following points were taken into account to be fulfilled:
- That it maintain the page structure (Home, Developments, About, Contact).
- Use the company's colors.
To carry out the renovation project, the following tools were used as a foundation:
- WordPress
- I used WordPress so that the people managing the site could easily manage the blogs and web content, in addition to WordPress having Custom Post Types, which, together with its template system and Elementor, allowed me to generate pages by simply filling in some custom fields from the WordPress administration interface.
- Elementor
- Why did I use a visual builder such as Elementor instead of creating a Theme from scratch? The answer is very simple: it was due to the time available to complete the project, and also because Elementor It has excellent integration with Advanced Custom Fields, which allowed me to meet delivery times and project requirements.
- Advanced Custom Fields
- I used Advanced Custom Fields, as mentioned above, to add fields such as page color, background images, texts, among others, so that administrators could generate subdivision pages without needing to program them.
The project was also carried out with some other plugins such as Yoast SEO for SEO and Open Graph matters, in addition to using WPForms as the form plugin.
At the end of the project, the problems were resolved:
- The semantic structure was resolved by using the appropriate tags with Elementor.
- The website was updated using a visual builder and more up-to-date libraries.
- PHP files with spaghetti code were eliminated by using WordPress's template system.
- The site loads faster.
- A manageable Blog was added without requiring technical knowledge.
- Basic SEO was applied to the page using Yoast SEO, and Open Graph tags were added.
- Email delivery was resolved by configuring an SMTP server for emails via PHP.
- Tracking tags for Google Analytics and Facebook were added.
- Forms were subsequently added for registering leads arriving at the page using HubSpot.
