Personal plugin project for WordPress and WooCommerce for the Buen Fin event in Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is Buen Fin?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Buen Fin is an annual nationwide shopping event in Mexico. It began in 2011. It takes place on the weekend prior to Mexican Revolution Day, which is observed on the third Monday of November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project Description<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In this project, I developed a plugin for WordPress and WooCommerce that allows me to display product prices at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months with no interest on the individual WooCommerce product page, before the \"Add to Cart\" button. I created it with e-commerce stores in Mexico in mind, to provide them with greater visibility during the Buen Fin event in Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did I create the plugin?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The answer is very simple by following the Plugin Developer Handbook<\/a> Official on the website of WordPress<\/a>. Additionally, this plugin was my first plugin in which I used object-oriented programming with WordPress and PHP. To develop the plugin, I used the famous DevinVinson boilerplate<\/a> which allowed me to quickly and easily understand how WordPress Hooks and Filters work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How does the plugin work?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The plugin essentially consists of downloading the plugin from the official WordPress plugin repository in two parts. On the admin side, I added functionality using Hooks and Filters. I also added a configuration page in the WooCommerce settings section that allows the user to modify the months with no interest to be displayed, as well as the texts shown on the individual product page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
